DIANA CHAN

Diana Chan first won hearts across Australia as the champion of Season 9 of Masterchef. Now she brings her unique blend of warmth, charm and culinary brilliance to the WOLL kitchen.

From a career in one of the ‘Top 4’ accounting firms, Diana has followed her passion for food to become one of Australia’s leading chefs. Her approach to cooking relies as much on instinct and experimentation as it does on formal technique. She discovered her passion for food growing up in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, with parents who showed her the art and creative joy of cooking. Diana’s signature style shows many of their influences – her father’s love of seafood and her mother’s fresh, herb-driven approach. Above all, she shows that anyone can make delicious, healthy food at home, with a little bit of knowledge and a touch of inspiration.

Diana’s skills and talents have made her a much-loved culinary personality across Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. She continues to explore new possibilities in contemporary cooking with a number of television cooking shows, including SBS Food’s Asia Unplated, TEN’s Ten Minute Kitchen, and recently The Healthy Cooks on Nine. A project particularly close to her heart is the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden food program, which teaches positive food habits to Australian children.
